Background
The IT department at King’s College London provides comprehensive support to students and staff for a wide range of IT-related issues and inquiries. Assistance is available in person through the Tech Bar, as well as online and by phone. The team also keeps the community informed with regular news and service updates delivered via email and social media.

Brief
King’s commissioned us to refresh the visual identity of their IT department, ensuring it aligned seamlessly with the overarching King’s College London brand. Central to the brief was a sense of approachability, paired with a clear, bold expression of the department’s purpose. The design needed to be versatile and adaptable – suitable for digital platforms, printed materials, and enhancing physical environments alike.

Result
We created a flexible idenity, designed to function seamlessly across both digital and print platforms, at a variety of scales, and to be easily used by both IT staff and professional designers. The brand features a bold and distinctive visuals that are vibrant, inclusive, and approachable. The design communicates a broader message: that IT is not just about fixing broken technology, but about people – delivering services and solutions that support the work and studies of both staff and students.
